weddings
Weatherhead Hollow is a historic Vermont farmstead created for unhurried wedding weekends.
Here, your wedding unfolds at its own pace – no rush to check the clock, no battle with logistics, just time to savor every moment with the people you love.
Exchange vows beneath an ancient maple tree, gather for cocktails and lawn games in the barnyard, and celebrate in a restored event barn. With on-site accommodations and a setting that feels intimate and grounded, the property invites you to slow down, settle in, and truly be present. This sense of care and intention extends throughout the farmstead, whose interior design and restoration have been featured in atHome New England Magazine, and in the book Create the Style You Crave: The Sweet Spot Guide to Home Decor for its elegant, playful approach.
Many weddings compress celebration into a single evening — a whirlwind of arrivals, setup, dinner, and goodbye. Weatherhead Hollow invites a different rhythm: a weekend with space to breathe, enjoy, and connect. There’s time for welcome drinks, a rehearsal dinner, lingering mornings, and a relaxed farewell.

venue and property details
Couples often tell us that the weekend – not just the day – was the part they’ll always remember. Built in 1792, Weatherhead Hollow is a thoughtfully restored Vermont farmstead offering a balance of historic character and modern comfort, located just 10 minutes from the town of Brattleboro, Vermont.
The property sleeps up to twelve guests across the 1792 Farmhouse and Carriage Barn. The Farmhouse includes three bedrooms, three full bathrooms (two with clawfoot tubs), a formal dining room, colorful kitchen, a large patio with fire pit, and multiple lounge spaces designed for gathering and connection. The Carriage Barn features two bedrooms, one full bathroom with soaking tub, and a well appointed kitchen. Both accommodations have earned 5-star reviews from more than 250 Airbnb guests, which you can explore on our country getaway page.
For events, couples celebrate in our restored Bank Barn – a rare Vermont design built into the hillside – featuring a central event hall with adjoining corn crib bar overlooking the barnyard. The barn comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests for a seated dinner, with space for a dance floor, live band or DJ, and buffet setup. Outdoor ceremonies are popular, with options beneath a 200-year-old maple tree or within the barnyard. The barn is ADA accessible.
Weatherhead Hollow is conveniently located 10 minutes from Brattleboro, Vermont, approximately two hours from Albany, New York, two and a half hours from Boston, and three and a half hours from New York City. Bradley International Airport in Connecticut is about a 1 hour and 15 minute drive.

Kind Words
“Beautiful location and a great team! I always look forward to photographing engagement photos and weddings at Weatherhead Hollow. The setting is beautiful—the barn, the various houses, and the surrounding area—and both Katherine and Daniel are a delight to work with. There is a genuine patina of history throughout the property—a photographer’s dream—coupled with an elegance and artistry that is the perfect backdrop for engagement and wedding images. My experience of photographing at Weatherhead Hollow is that the final images are not only going to reflect the natural beauty of Vermont, but also the joy the wedding party and guests experience in such a special place.”

They asked all the right questions to ensure every aspect of our special day was well-planned and executed flawlessly. Being able to enjoy the space from Thursday- Sunday allowed us to truly soak up all of the emotions and made it so we could truly enjoy our wedding day with the majority of setup being done the days before. On the day of, their attention to detail was truly magical - they made sure all signage was perfectly placed to guide our guests, and the flow of the event from the historic homes to the dreamy barn and cocktail hour space was seamless.
